A hard hat
Goggles/Safety glasses (to protect eyes from rubber bullets),

Multiple umbrellas (helpful for rubber bullets but expect to lose one per protest)
Thick shirts hoodies preferred (Long sleeve hoodie to protect from bruises from rubber bullets)
Jeans
Gloves
Throw away phones
Ear protection (they use a very loud noise machine like one that should be illegal)
First aid kit
Water (to wash out eyes from tear gas)
Backpack
Friends to go with
Phone number of ACLU
If you can preferably bike to the protest site, to prevent license plate readers also try to bike on routes without many ring cameras.
