Do not grieve

Another mass school shooting today.

The bodies are still being counted.

My pages are full of words.

Let me tell you…

Do not grieve.

Don’t you dare grieve!

There have been enough tears shed,

to flood the entirety of these United States.

Do not pray.

Enough prayers have been said,

to drown out all of God’s celestial choirs.

Do not give your thoughts,

unless they lead to action!

Otherwise your thoughts are as meaningless as your tears!

Do not think and pray and grieve,

for they deserve more!

No,

get angry!

Get angry and take that anger,

and place it in a hot cauldron,

let it simmer and boil.

Then take that anger,

and march.

Go to the places of power,

and demand justice!

But not just justice,

but Change!

Demand it of those who get rich protecting the sellers and makers of guns!

Demand it if those who hold power due to their ability to sell hate and fear!

Lastly demand change to our laws.

Let no other parent bury a child because another child, or an adult, could oh so easily buy guns.
