Stopped by the Mag and found this hard to find Pokemon hiding out. It must have felt at home in the Museum and Science Center.

Its the holidays and its time to do what we do best..buy lots of things. I was listening to the radio and they were talking about giving and the need to walk in other’s people shoes. So I came up to a man on the street, and he had no shoes. His feet were cold in the snow. But he didn’t have shoes, so I couldn’t walk in them.So I left him and went on. Then I came across a veteran. He was sitting and had no feet. No feet, no shoes. His wheel chair was stuck in the snow, so I left him. Walking back to my car, I came across a man who looked alot like me, so we traded shoes. Mission accomplished, on with the buying and holiday drinking.

The teacher asked, if something was wrong at home.
Its 7:30, and hes not yet home.
That’s not much different, than most nights.
He says work is killing him, but your just not sure.
All you know, is that long ago, she stopped asking, when he’d be home.
.
How do you, pick up the pieces?
How do you, put it all back together?
When it seems like, it’s just you and her, against the world.
.
The dinner is burnt, and there are tears from upstairs.
The homework was thrown, across the room,
the pencil lays snapped, on the kitchen floor,
and she’s upstairs, crying in her pillow.
It seems like most nights end, with her crying in her pillow.
She swears the teacher, never assigned that work,
Maybe shes right, or maybe its just another lie.
How do you, pick up the pieces?
How do you, put it all back together?
When it seems like, its just you and her, against the world.
You want to go, pick her up, and hold her tight
You want to tell her, she will be alright..
You want to make it all, all go away.
But right now she thinks, its her against you,
and you don’t know, how to change that,
and you don’t know, how to make it better.
How do you, pick up the pieces?
How do you, put it all back together?
When its really just you and her, against the world.

We may think of the river as natural, but it is always been shaped and guided.

It seems so solid, but try to step on it, and there will only be water.

If you want to help make America great, which to me means, many things, including having everybody, regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, ability, and age, be able work and make a living, THEN the next time you are grocery shopping DO NOT use the self checkout. It is there to replace the jobs of actual workers. Those are great entry level jobs for teens and great jobs for many in your community. So don’t help people lose jobs. Go to an actual person to check out. Additionally that self-checkout device doesn’t pay taxes or help you in any way, other then letting you not talk to another human being.A person who may well be of a different race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ability, ethnicity, and/or age than you.
Part 1 in a series on making America Great.
